Mark Hass

Strategic Advisor

Former Senator and veteran Oregon lawmaker Mark Hass joined the team of Oxley & Associates as a Strategic Advisor in 2022.

Mark chaired the Senate Revenue & Finance Committee between 2015 and 2021, and chaired the Senate Education Committee between 2009 and 2015. He retired from the legislature in 2021after serving 14 years in the Senate and six years in the House of Representatives. He is credited with engineering the historic Student Success Act in 2019 and also authored the Oregon Promise that made community college free to all Oregon High School students.

Prior to his legislative service, Mark worked as a journalist for KATU News.
